Here is another example of degenerative osteoarthritis in which there is prominent "lipping" of the vertebrae. Osteoarthritis increases with age beyond 50. Generally, a few large joints are involved, such as hip or knee. Osteoarthritis is due to wear and tear with loss of articular cartilage. Note also that there is a curve to the right indicating a minor degree of scoliosis.
